Design Ethnography

At present I am studying Design Ethnography. Ethnography is a qualitative research tool often used in anthropology which uses more holistic methods to understand complex systems.

The department at the University Of Dundee has been set up to provide an area to explore the field of Design Ethnography in an open and collaborative environment.

 

Current practise, particularly within business is very avaricious. Through open collaboration businesses which work with the university find that they receive a superior quality of research than they would through an internal project.

I am interested using Design Ethnography to understand complex social systems. Using Ethnography to understand society and how it integrates new technology into its communication to expand and improve the community it is integrated with.
